FASHION JUNQUI: Ripley’s Believe It or Not Trash Fashion Show

One person’s trash is truly another person’s treasure.

In St. Augustine, Florida,  Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum held a fashion show  where the contestants had to use certain materials to produce their creations. No, i’m not talking cotton, spandex and rayon ; more like magazines, grocery bags and trading cards…you know, the usual.

Analise Barnard in her one shoulder mini dress and matching headband, made entirely of coffee filters

What’s even more impressive is that the three winners were between 12 and 18 years old.

Kennedy Trugter in her sleeveless three-tiered dress made up of newspapers.

Masha Sardari in a dress made of used paint brushes and a paper bag skirt.

Recyclable fashion. I can get definitely get down with that.
